Seen on the streets of Jaffa

Mike, Phil and I arrived in Israel yesterday.  I got upgraded to First Class on Lufthansa, which was absolutely amazing – I was on the 2nd floor of the 747 and we had 14 people up there, with about 4 attendants – including our own sommelier!  Anyway, more on that later.  It’s late so this will be a short post, but I just had to get it out there.

Last night we took a cab to Jaffa, one of the oldest cities around Tel Aviv (if you know your biblical history, this is the port off of which Jonah was swallowed by the whale.)  We were roaming around and came across one of the most famous arabic bakeries in the area (again, another post on that later.)  While ordering some breads, we came across this next to us…  What’s wrong with this picture?

Yes, that’s right – it’s a kids game.  But what can you win?  If you can’t see it, those are packs of cigarettes in there!!  Now what’s the deal with calling this “Baby Party??”

More to come on Israel, including new pictures from our visit to Jerusalem today… stay tuned!
